Excellent Welle: Erdball Song with real Content. The Title Song 'Starfighter F-104G' is about the German Bundeswehr (Armed Forces) Pilot 'Oberleutnant zur See Joachim von Hassel' ('Lieutenant Joachim von Hassel'). He was the Son of former German Defense Minister Kai Uwe von Hassel and he is flying on March 10, 1970 - like 300 Bundeswehr Pilots in earlier Years - with his still completely unripe, turbocharged supersonic Bomber 'Starfighter F104G' (G for Germany) to Death. This was later - in Connection with State-legitimated Corruption as the so-called 'Starfighter Affair' or 'Lockheed Scandal' - entering the History Books. Main Actors were the German Defense Ministers Franz Josef Strauss and Kai Uwe von Hassel. The Song was incidentally also equipped with the appropriate Background-Noise, but is quite catchy and Club- suitable nevertheless and criticizes between the Lines all greedy, power- hungry Politicians, of which there are not sooo few in Germany. The only Point of Criticism is that at the Title Track 'Starfighter F-104G' was omitted a real Extended 12inch Version, also because this would have made Sense in the 80s Context of Welle Erdball's Retro Electronic Pop. The MCD was instead equipped only with Single and Album Version of the Title Track 'Starfighter F104G' and a few short Bonus Tracks. But, it is like it is: More of these Stories can be found on the parallel released Longplayer 'Die Wunderwelt Der Technik' ('The Wonderful World Of Technology') by Welle: Erdball. Perhaps their best Record ever. Oberleutnant zur See Joachim von Hassel: 'Zum Fliegen um die ganze Welt brauch ich kein Flugzeug mehr...' ('I don't need a Plane anymore to fly around the whole World ...')
