I remember there was a radio 1xtra advert back in 2008 on bbc, that was my introduction to this... was familiar with the DSK sample and remember trawling the internet to find what this was.... still a banger in 2016!

A somewhat controversial release by Eskiboy aka Wiley, moving himself and the Grime scene into the limelight and out of the murky depths of the underground with this mainstream release.

Mashing up some of his lyrics with what could be described as an electro house grime clash it's hitting the dance floors with a bang right about now - this one ain't underground that's for sure and it gives those who don't like the usual grime track something to dance to.. Wopping in some oldskool garage samples from DSK - 'what would we do' and using a house beat alongside some bubbling bassline typical of any electro house track this year expect to hear this tune in main st. clubland - heavy weight!

There was an initial stir caused when it hit the underground, with many grime purists unhappy with this so-called "departure" from traditional grime. Lethal B's classic slew of "Wiley - more like Kylie" was used to sugggest that this was wiley's first step towards selling out to the mainstream. However the more people began to listen to it, the more they realized that it was genuinely a banging track and people began to look at the bigger picture. This track has, and will be bringing much more exposure to the Grime scene and these such releases are building this scenes credibility as a genre to take notice of. Wiley in 08 looks to be mixing his time between the underground and mainstream audiences and pushing things forward at the same time as keeping it real. With this track he proves he can do both at the same time as wearing his rolex!!

I'd conclude with saying it's a straight up banger, which may have treaded unchartered territory by collaring the underground and commercial markets...
Slick - Sick out!
